Privacy Policy
First off: we are very sensitive to the entire topic of security and personal privacy and really dislike misuses, of our own data just as well.
As you may have noticed, there is absolutely no advertising on our site, nor in the app, and we have no intention to ever allow any in future either - we specifically abhor this trend of "monetization" hiding behind many "freemium" models.
In that sense the bottom line is: we have absolutely no interest in any personally identifiable data of any kind.
What is meaningful for us is statistics for the general usage of the website and app, such as how many users visits which areas or what features and functions are employed more than others - but in a general abstracted and anonymized "faceless" way.
With this approach we use Google Analytics for the website (with basic cookies) and the app.
As you log into the Frax Cloud, you will provide information to us like a name - but that need not be your actual name at all, it is specifically just a freely chosen 'handle'.
We do ask for your email address, which we use to send the download links for the images you share or render in the cloud, keep track of the render credits and to send you a link in case of a forgotten password or notify you of any changes.
The email address is never shared with any third party and we take all reasonable steps to store it securely and safeguard it against unauthorized access or disclosure.
You can can sign in and view your account and you can also contact us by email to request it to be deleted.
A specific item to note:
When you use the "Render to Photo Library" function (Save Menu, upper right corner) there is a dialog asking if Frax can "access your photo library". Actually, that is a generic iOS dialog and not our wording: all that is really meant there is "can we please save the Frax rendered image into your camera roll album"
We are only interested in the Frax presets you may save or the Frax images you may render, but we will never access any of your other files, images, address book or location.
About Google Analytics:
We employ it to help us understand how the app and website is being used. Google utilizes this data solely on our behalf. No data is shared referring to any individual user and is only analysed in aggregate form;
